Collection: Kal Betts Illustration

About the Artist:

Kal was born and raised on Bailey Island in a family of many generations of local lobstermen. After graduating from Mt. Ararat High School in 2002, his studies took him overseas where he earned his dual British/American BA/BFA at Regent's University London, England. He has been back from "away" since 2008 and works from his home office on Orr's Island as a graphic designer and illustrator.

This series of familiar scenes is part of a larger illustrated series that Kal has in progress, which is inspired by his heritage and the charm of this place he feels very fortunate to have always called "home".
